This is a great pocket breathalyzer from until times up. I've used other breathalyzers in the past that would provide unreliable and inconsistent readings on multiple tests but this one is reading pretty consistently. In addition, the "warm-up" time from power-on to reading is QUICK (under 10 seconds). Haven't had a chance to see how long these batteries will last but it uses two standard AAA's so when they eventually go out they'll be easy to replace. I like the fact that this unit will fit in your pocket, has a portable travel case, and includes 6 disposable mouthpieces.

Worked really well, I actually tested it against a professional breathalyzer and it gave almost identical results. Just make sure not to use it before 10 minutes before taking a drink or else the reading will be significantly higher than your actual blood alcohol level. Not super portable, but I’d rather have an accurate reading than being able to carry it in my pocket.

I recently got an IIL installed in my car, this is extremely helpful and gives me a peace of mind. You'd be surprised how long alcohol stays in your system. I had 3 drinks (regular sized) one night after work and the next morning blew a violation on my device. I did a lot of research before buying and debated buying another device. After reviewing I decided that between the violation fees and the feeling of embarrassment having to go get the car serviced I would get this product. I received it timely and the first night had two glasses of wine, next morning before work blew 0.00 and did the same thing the next day with the same result. However, the third day of using the device I had the same 2 glasses of wine with dinner, and the next morning blew .05 which would have been a violation (Which I had my spouse blow to make sure it wasn't a bad reading and he did not drink the night before and he blew 0.00). I did nothing different, it's just that your body is different and certain unknown factors can make it process things differently. I definitely recommend spending a little more to get an effective tool.

I know some people may read this and judge me for the IIL, but let's be honest 95% of drinkers have driven when they shouldn't have. The laws are getting stricter and if you have not gotten a DUI I recommend you get this product. $40 for the product and a $25 dollar uber ride is a lot less than the shame and cost of a DUI. I got my DUI almost 2 years ago, and I am still paying for it. I didn't harm anyone when I got it, in fact, I was parked in a parking lot. It can happen to anyone! The reason I got the book thrown at me was I refused to submit to chemical testing, which is an automatic DUI and in my state on top of a completely separate charge and suspension for refusing.

So in summary; GET THIS AND USE IT, make sure you look up your state laws and understand them. If I did both of those things 2 years ago I'd be $6,000 richer, and feel the stigma of "being in the system".

Absolutely love this product. You definitely get what you pay for. It is a great tool to help you understand what your limit is and also a pretty cool party topic!

I keep this by my nightstand to blow into when I wake up in the morning after a night of heavy drinking to ensure I won't get arrested for drunk driving on my way to work.
